Therapy is a transformative experience! It aims to dissect a wide range of emotional elements that can be associated with managing life’s circumstances and develop more meaning and purpose to life by bringing positive changes.
Caring for your mental health is prioritizing longevity as stress management is strongly linked to inflammation. When perceptions of stress are heightened, the body’s inflammatory response is intensified, worsening disease symptoms and altering immune system functioning (including: musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, gastrointestinal, nervous, and reproductive systems).
Within sessions I use effective and empirically proven modalities (tools) for improving quality of life while reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress while providing coping skills for increasing self-regulation and interpersonal skills. This results in an enhanced mindfulness of direct experience (e.g., feelings, sensations, etc.), a deepened understanding of and connection to self, and improved self-esteem.
By learning how to develop a relationship with life experiences, one can better understand the depth of percieved reality rather than becoming stuck on painful and self-defeating thoughts. This work can begin by unveiling personal values and approaching oneself with curiosity and compassion.
